I love Venice, la Serenissima - really do - it's fascinating, hypnotic, true eye candy and just plain addictive. Built on Croatian forests thrust into the bed of the Laguna. I had a luggage trolley which started to squeak under the load of all my gear and I could be heard far ahead in the narrow streets. My wife walked ahead of me and threatened to have nothing to do with me until I got the trolley's wheels lubricated. Nothing helped. I was left to wander 20 paces behind her. We'd get together while I was setting up to take my pictures. |
