Photos taken within a thirty minute drive from home. The idea being to explore my extended neighborhood. We live in a community of 12000 souls which used to be predominantly agrarian, then industrial (ship building) and now just a suburban town with a socialist past.
Getting out into "real" countryside is a matter of a few minutes by car.
Ours is a grain and wine growing area. Folks visit the vintners and partake of the fresh wine - in cellar streets or in Heurige - predominantly smallish locals where the vintner sells his/her wares and offers simple fare. |
